CPS Basketball Headed to Overall Semifinals

Results from the MAIS Division AA State Basketball Tournament:
Quarter Final Game: CPS vs. Oak Hill Academy – CPS wins 64-34
Semi Final Game: CPS vs. Leake Academy – CPS wins 79-43
Final Game — CPS vs. Marshall Academy – Marshall wins 64-54, CPS named Division AA State Runner Up
    Performance in the State tournament qualified the Central Private basketball team for the MAIS Overall Basketball Tournament this week at Mississippi College.  This tournament takes the top 3 teams in A, AA, & AAA and pits them against each other in a single elimination tournament.  The Rebels (AA #2) first game was Tuesday night against Madison Ridgeland Academy (AAA #2).  The Rebels defeated MRA 51-31, advancing to the semifinal game this Friday @ 6 p.m. against Parklane Academy (AAA #3).  If the Rebels are able to defeat Parklane, they will advance to the Overall Championship at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
