In Memoriam: Evelyn Travis

    Evelyn Lucille Devall "El" Travis, died Sunday, January 20, 2013 in Zachary. She was born in Denham Springs on March 16, 1932 and was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge and was Owner/Founder with her husband, Leroy Travis of Travis and Son's Hardware. She was a resident of Clinton.
    Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, 9995 Hooper Road, Central, LA 70818 on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 12:00 PM until religious services at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Chamber's Cemetery in Denham Springs.
    Preceded in death by her parents, John and Emma Devall; daughter, Dinah Faye Travis; husband, Leroy Travis; second husband, Louis E. Carroll; brothers, J.B., Jerry and Donald Devall.
    Survived by 2 sons, Rickey L. Travis and former wife, Pam and Dickey D. Travis and wife Sue Nell all of Clinton; 5 grandchildren, April McCain and husband Billy of Houston, Texas, Lori Travis, Justin Travis both of Denham Springs, J.D. Travis of Grass Valley, California, Stephen Peairs and wife Melinda of Burns, Tennessee. 4 great-grandchildren, Hayleigh McCain, Destiny Travis, Garrett Peairs and Gavin Peairs. 3 sisters, Laura VonCee of Denham Springs, Eula Street of Holden and Hazel Babin of Greenwell Springs; 1 brother, Royce Devall of Denham Springs.
