This year, Central High Student Council was asked to be in charge of the Angel Tree Kids. Instead of passing the kids out to the teachers, we decided to let each homeroom be in charge of a kid. The homerooms adopted these children as their “Christmas Kid” and bought presents for them as their Santa.
The students really showed up and made sure their kids had everything they could possibly need. There were bikes, an Easy Bake oven, and even a bow and arrow. Central High School as a total supported 55 kids who would have most likely not had a Christmas otherwise. It was a great experience and taught all of us how blessed we truly are.
