November 2012 Building Permits

During the month of November 2012 in the city of Central, a total of 7 new residential permits were issued.  The total valuation of these permits was $1,365,606.

            Within these permits, one was issued in Woodstock with a valuation of $197,748; one in Morgan Springs valued at of $161,234; one in Burlington Lakes valued at $171,086; one on Hooper Rd valued at $207,068; one on Hwy 64 valued at $132,772; and two in Wisteria Lakes with an average valuation of $247,849.  A total of 136 new residential home permits have been issued so far this year. 

            Building valuation is the price based upon the square footage of the home used for permitting purposes.  The actual selling price of the home is usually higher than the valuation and depends upon amenities installed by the builder.

            On the commercial side,  permits were applied for the following commercial structures:

            1)  Misuraca Orthodontics, 15299 Wax Rd, 5,330 sq. ft orthodontics office

            2)  Starkey Builders, 10510 Joor Rd, 14,470 sq. ft remodeling of existing building

            3)  Acadiana Development, 14331 Wax Rd; 1,000 sq. ft park pavilion

            4)  Firmin Construction/Wade Giles/ Southern Power, 8501 Joor Rd; 4,060 sq. ft new construction
