A special meeting of Central Lodge #442 was held Thursday Nov. 29th to conduct a Dyslexia Graduation Exercise honoring the nine young people who have finished the two year program. These young people put on a wonderful program showing how they have improved since they began the dyslexia program.
The Grand Master of Masons of the State of Louisiana, Frank N. Du Treil, Jr., was the keynote speaker, and other members of the Grand Lodge were also present.
MWGM Du Treil, Ted Powell, chairman of Central Lodge Dyslexia Committee, Clifton Stringfield, WM of Trinity Union Lodge #372 and Harold Ballard, GM in 2005, gave out certificates, trophies, and gifts to each of the students. Both teachers also received gifts from Central Lodge and MWGM Du Treil. A fine meal was prepared by Luther Perkins, Jr. Warden and enjoyed by the 117 members and guests.
