You Can Help CCC Bring Christmas to Needy Children

By  |

We are asking the citizens of Greater Baton Rouge and neighboring parishes to help give back to your community this Christmas season.  You will be making Christmas possible for hundreds of local children with disabilities who are experiencing financial difficulties.
Since 2001 Christmas for Challenged Children has provided gifts for an average of 600 local, needy children of disability each year and every child receives a bag of new gifts.  We receive the children’s names from agencies such as: St. Jude, Volunteers of America, Cadence, McMain’s Child Development Center, Community Resource Coordinators, Capital Area Human Services, Families Helping Families, and L.P. Public Schools.
Christmas for Challenged Children has been made possible in the past by visiting our Christmas trees located at certain Wal-Marts and Spectrum Fitness Centers.   These trees contain all the children’s information, each on a red ribbon.  Those interested choose a child’s name/s, purchase the gift/s, and drop it off at the tree or a local Fire Station.  We have also partnered with St. George Santa Parade. The St. George Fire truck leads (Santa on board) with the Baton Rouge Food Bank truck and us following through the neighborhoods collecting  non-perishable food items for the city and new toys for our children.
Christmas for Challenged Children will start after Thanksgiving and will be available until the 14th of December.  Please join us this year as we use our abilities to make Christmas possible for the needy children of disabilities.  Donations are greatly appreciated.
Thank you and have a wonderful Christmas and a blessed New Year.
Blessed By God,
Christmas for Challenged Children
