October 2012 Building Permits Update

    During the month of October 2012 in the city of Central, a total of 20 new residential permits were issued.  The total valuation of these permits was $3,983,000.  
    Within these permits, one was issued in The Gates at Burlington with a valuation of $135,742; seven in Village Lakes with an average valuation of $229,835; three in Woodstock with an average valuation of  $220,669; five in Morgan Springs with an average valuation of $149,891; two in Burlington Lakes with an average valuation of $168,084; one on Joor Rd valued at $243,416; and one in Wisteria Lakes valued at $247,368.  A total of 129 new residential home permits have been issued so far this year.  
    Building valuation is the price based upon the square footage of the home used for permitting purposes.  The actual selling price of the home is usually higher than the valuation and depends upon amenities installed by the builder.
    On the commercial permits were applied for the following commercial structures:
1)  LT Nail Salon, 14790 Wax Rd, Ste 103,  1600 sq ft new commercial
2)  Las Palmas Restaurant, 14790 Wax Rd, Ste 102, 4400 sq ft new restaurant
3)  Acadiana Development, 17249 McCaa Landing, 904 sq ft pavillion.
