In Memoriam: Kenneth Lamar Blackwell

    Honey, Daddy, PawPaw, Uncle Kenneth, Kenneth… went to be with our Lord surrounded by his family Sunday, October 21, 2012.  He was 72, a resident of Baker, and a native of Delhi.  He was a US Army veteran and retired as a vice president of United Companies.  Visitation was held at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 from 6-9pm, with Masonic services at 7pm.  Visiting resumed at Baker Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 10am until religious services in the chapel at 11am, conducted by Rev. Glen Miers.  Interment followed at Zoar Baptist Church Cemetery.
    Survived by wife, Evelyn Prine Blackwell; two daughters and a son-in-law, Joyce and Danny Price, and Teresa Blackwell; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ricky Hale, and Thomas and Misty Blackwell; a sister, Maggie C. Hale; 12 grandchildren, Tabitha Stanley Willis and husband Jay, Van Stanley and wife Melanie, Christy Price Britton and husband Stephen, Chad Price and wife Kelly, Stephanie Price Campbell and husband Eric, Richard, Chase, and Skylar Hale, Chase Lemoine, Chris Blackwell, Dustin Blackwell and wife Gina, and Madison Ogilvie; and 16 great-grandchildren.  Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Ida Irene Connell Blackwell; three sisters, Ruth Pittman, Mildred Carter, and Georgia Warren; three brothers, Tom Butler, John, and James Blackwell; and a daughter, Shirley Hale Stanley.  Pallbearers were Chris Blackwell, Chad Price, Van Stanley, Dustin Blackwell, Chase Lemoine, and Jay Willis.  Honorary pallbearers were Stephen Britton, Eric Campbell, and the Mike Howell Sunday School Class.
    Kenneth was a member of Zoar Baptist Church.  He was Past Master of Central Masonic Lodge #442, a member of Central Star Chapter #23 Order of Eastern Star, and Past Grand Patron of the State of Louisiana.  Kenneth enjoyed camping, reading, traveling, and above all, spending time with family and friends.  Please sign the online guestbook at http://www.BakerFuneralHomeOnline.com.
