Mayor’s Thank You

    As Mayor, I would like to thank everyone who helped fund this year’s Mayor’s 100 Club  for the Blue Star Mothers of Louisiana.  Monday, November 5, I met with the Blue Star Mothers and presented them over $6,000 in cash and checks from this year’s donations.  We had previously presented them with several boxes of supplies.  Over the five years we have sponsored this effort, the great people of Central have collected and donated over $24,500.  These funds will be used by the Blue Star Moms in our area for shipping packages to their loved ones.

    I would especially like to thank the staff and students of the new Central Intermediate School and the new Central Middle School who collected over $2,100 between the two schools.  Please join me in giving these two schools a big “Thank You”.
