Central Middle Football’s Perfect Season

By  |

Last week, on October 24, 2012, the CMS Wildcats achieved their final goal of remaining undefeated. The CMS Wildcats rallied past the St. Helena Hawks in a 36-12 victory. On our first possession, Chance Atkins scored on an 82 kickoff return. During the first half, the defensive unit did awesome by not allowing St. Helena to score. However, the offense struggled to find rhythm. Beginning of the second half, the CMS Wildcats controlled the rest of the game. Both units stepped up and did their jobs, which helped us dominate the remaining two quarters. Jearlmiah Ward scored on a halfback draw and he also returned an interception for touchdown on defense. Our offensive linemen (E’Darius Anderson, Andrew Harris, Kyle Kepper, Parker Aucoin, Cameron Quin, Jared Elliot, and Ethan Roland) and receivers (Lane McCaskill and Dontae Johnson) all gave great effort at blocking for our running backs and protecting our quarterback Gabriel Brown, who did a great job of anchoring the offense. They opened up big holes for Xavier Lewis, who had a pair of touchdown runs. Defensively, Jude Fontenot caused a fumble, which was recovered by Brady Jones, Nick Jones and Rudulfo Perez had many tackles in the backfield, and Darryl Lavigne caught an interception.  Congratulations on win a hard fought football game and accomplishing a perfect season!
We would like to thank everyone for their efforts in supporting CMS football!
