Central Middle School student Brock Kaufman and  Central Intermediate School student Alex Johnson have joined forces with the Baton Rouge Parents Magazine as a host for the annual SOCK IT TO ME sock drive.  Brock and Alex have collected bags and bags of new and slightly used socks from family and friends in the community for men, women and children in need this holiday season. Anyone can be a sock drive Host! All you have to do is put your working shoes on and contact schools, business in the area and other organizations  – even friends and family to donate socks.
Brock and Alex both attend Debby Gaudet’s  Young Screen Actors class and have reached out to their friends in class for help. The Young Screen Actors are all on the ball collecting socks this holiday season. If you would like to help by donating new or slightly used socks drop them off at the Whitney Bank on Hooper road or the Whitney Bank on Greenwell Springs road in Central. Socks can be dropped off from now thru Nov. 15th! So SOCK it to me! Let’s keep the feet warm of those in need.
