Up Next in CHS Football: Blackout Catholic Friday

By  |

Coach Sid Edwards is asking the fans to wear black and come out to see what may be Central’s toughest game of the season.  The Catholic Bears venture into Wildcat Stadium Friday night to face unbeaten Central.  Central may be without the services of Junior standout Gary Triplett as he recovers from an ankle injury suffered in last week’s win against Woodlawn.  The return of another Junior standout, Jake Myer, is possible as he recovers from a dislocated elbow suffered in the season opener vs Istrouma.  Coach Sid calls this game an “Epic Battle” and further comments: “I think they made a statement (last week vs Denham Springs) that they are going to be the best team we will play this year.  They smoked Denham and that doesn’t surprise me at all, so this is a big week of preparation.  I need everybody there Friday night.”
