Maurice and Sharon Browning Celebrate 50th Anniversary

By  |

Maurice and Sharon Browning celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a promised and long overdue return trip to New York.  They spent their 25th wedding anniversary in New York when Maurice was working there, 25 years ago. They enjoyed a beautiful 50th anniversary dinner at the same quaint restaurant, The Restaurant Xavier & Bully Boy, where they shared their 25th anniversary meal.  Their trip included a stop in Hershey, PA, the Amish Country, Gettysburg, Niagara Falls, West Point, a loop through Canada and visiting and reminiscing with old friends.

After returning home, their sons and spouses (Todd & Rhonda, Kevin & Kim and Darren & Beth Browning) and their ten grandchildren honored them with a luncheon at Don's Seafood Restaurant on Airline Hwy.  Maurice and Sharon were married by the Rev. Sam Gordon at Winbourne Avenue Baptist Church on June 15, 1962.  Maurice is a lifetime resident of Central.
