Be Faithful in the Little

So many Christians today are timid in their Christian walk because they may not know a lot about God and the Bible.  Even though the lack of knowledge is a huge problem in the church today, I want to encourage those who are young in the Lord and may not know as much as they think they should: Be faithful in the little that you do know and the little that you have received from God.
In Matthew 25, according to the Parable of the Talents, the lord gave one servant five talents, another two talents, and to another one talent. He gave each man the amount that suited them the best.  God knows our individual ability and we are gifted accordingly.  It does not matter the amount and we should never be jealous or desirous of another’s gift that God himself gave.  What matters is –  Are we faithful to what God has given us at that moment and time?
We may not know God and the Bible perfectly, but that does not mean we bury the little we do know.  We should always be faithful with what God gives us or what knowledge we have at the moment. For this is what we will hear: “Well done thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of the Lord.” (Matthew 25:21)
Be faithful and obedient in what you know now and you will be amazed in the knowledge God will reveal to you later.
Paul’s prayer for the faithful Ephesians: “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,…” (Ephesians 1:15-23)
