An Open Letter to “Missy”

Dear “Missy”,
I know that you treasure the street sign with your name on it that you proudly display on your bedroom wall, and I understand that your boyfriend presented it to you as a sign of his undying love, but we the residents of Missy Court in Oak Cluster subdivision would appreciate its return to our neighborhood.
In an emergency, when mere seconds can make the difference between life and death, emergency responders do not need to be delayed because they cannot locate our small street.
Our families would greatly appreciate the return of the sign, and in return, we will furnish your boyfriend with one gallon of John Deere green paint so that he can again proudly express his love of you on a water tower or overpass of your choosing.

Bo Stepp – Missy Court Resident

Editor's Note:
Central Speaks got a call from Central's Chief Executive Officer, David Barrow, Monday morning, about two hours after this Letter to the Editor was published on-line at CentralSpeaks.com.  A citizen had seen the article and remembered seeing the "Missy Court" sign at the Live Oak Ball Park in Watson.  Mr. Barrow rode over to the park and found the sign right where the caller had seen it.  The sign was restored to it's rightful place on the pole on Missy Court by 10AM Monday.  Many thanks to the citizen who tipped Central off to the location of the sign, as each sign costs about $100 to replace.  This is actually the second time in the past few days that a citizen has contacted Mr. Barrow about a found street sign.
