Central Senior Center Opens

The East Baton Rouge Council on Aging held a ribbon cutting ceremony last Thursday, July 12, for their newest location here in Central. Lunch was provided, door prizes were given away, and a great time was had by all.

The new senior center is located at 17070 Greenwell Springs Road, near the Morgan Road intersection. This center will provide Central residents age 60 and older with a place to take fitness classes, eat delicious meals, receive health screenings, and engage in a variety of leisure activities.

The hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM. You can contact the senior center at (225) 261-4673.
