St. Alphonsus Holds 8th Grade Graduation

    On Thursday, May 17, St. Alphonsus Catholic School held 8th grade graduation festivities for the class of 2012. Fr. Mike Moroney celebrated mass with the students, their families and friends. Students were presented their diplomas by Fr. Moroney and St. Alphonsus Principal, Cindy Ryals. A reception was held in the family center following the ceremony. The majority of these students have attended St. Alphonsus since kindergarten. They will go on to attend Central High, Live Oak High, Central Private School, Redemptorist High School, St. Michael's High School, Catholic High School, St. Joseph's Academy, and Episcopal High School.

    Honor graduates for the class of 2012 are: Josh Smith (Catholic High), Taylor Boykin (Central), Shae Fruge (St. Joseph's), Cameron Clement (Central), Amy Newsom (Central), Courtlyn Hood (St. Joseph's), Kalyn LeBlanc (St. Joseph's), Alexa Lonibos (St. Joseph's), Tristan Stewart (St. Joseph's), Anna Ashford, (St. Joseph's), Toni Guerin (Central), and Jack Caballero (St. Micheal's). 

    Victoria Simmons was awarded the St. Michael's Scholarship Award.
