Republican Women of Central Plan Summer Events

    The republican Women of Central will hold their June membership meeting this Wednesday, June 19 at Kristenwood.  Doors open at 11:15 AM for socializing and networking, and the meeting starts promptly at 11:45.  Guest speakers will be Central's own East Baton Rouge Parish Metro Councilman Scott Wilson, who is running for re-election, and EBR Parish Tax Assessor Brian Wilson.  The Wilson brothers contribute significantly to the government of East Baton Rouge Parish.  They will discuss upcoming issues related to parish management and tax assessments.  The special guest will be Barbara Thomas, founder of the North Baton Rouge Women's Center and the 1st Vice President of the Republican Women of Baton Rouge.  Membership meetings cost $15 for members and $20 for non-members.  The cost includes lunch.

    July's meeting will also be a lunch meeting at Kristenwood on July 20th.  This meeting will be a virtual baby shower benefitting the North Baton Rouge Women's Center on Plank Road.  Members and guests are encouraged to bring gently used and new baby clothing, necessities, and supplies like diapers and formula to the meeting.
