Central High Damage Update

The Central High Freshman locker room and ROTC building suffered severe damages during Hurricane Gustav due to the roof being pulled off. Because damages were not able to be repaired, additional damages were suffered during another rain and wind storm last week.
School Board President Russell Starns stated that the damages are still under investigation and different options are being discussed including putting on a pitched metal roof. The school board is waiting on an insurance adjuster but they are working with a contractor and all damages will be repaired.
Superintendant Faulk could not be reached for comment.
