Central Begins Three Game Road Trip at Denham Springs

The Central Wildcats (3-4, 1-1 district) take on the Denham Springs Yellow Jackets (5-2, 2-0 district) in a game that could decide the district championship. Before the season, the Jackets were picked to finish second in district behind Zachary but have jumped to the top of the district standings through the first two games. Denham returns 10 starters (5 on offense, 5 on defense) and is led by junior running back Kaleb Blanchard and senior quarterback Kyle Cedotal. After Friday’s game, Coach Dotson said, “Friday, we travel into hostile territory, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We play for a district championship this Friday night.” The Wildcats need to win each of their last three games to make the playoffs but need to take it one game at a time to get there.
