Wax Road Bridge Closed, Lovett Closed 8 More Weeks

BRIDGE CLOSURE: The bridge on Old Wax Rd just WEST of Durmast Drive was closed on Wednesday, 9/7, by DOTD and City-Parish. DOTD crews inspected the bridge this morning and found a critical deficiency. All traffic from Northwoods will be forced to detour via Greenwell Springs Rd. There is no timetable as to when repairs will be made by the City-Parish.

Also, the latest update on the Lovett Rd bridge completion date is November 2, 2011. Part of the backfill that was placed last week washed away in the high waters this week.
