Blackwater Youth Serve & Worship at Weekend of the Cross

Last weekend, over 50 different youth gathered at First United Methodist Church of Gonzales for the Weekend of the Cross. The youth were split up into different groups and traveled to eight different sites where they did construction work and painting on homes for people who did not have the means or abilities to do it themselves. We built wheelchair ramps, sheds, porches, repaired walls, scrapped and painted, cleaned yards, and much more. We worshiped every night and grew closer together through small group devotions.
