School Board Meeting Highlights

The Central Community School Board met on Monday and took the following actions:
- Approved a new hire, a sabbatical, and several resignations,
- Approved two year contracts for eleven Administrators, Principals and Assistant Principals,
- Selected the Advocate as the School System's official journal for publishing notices,
- Approved change orders netting $4,617 for the new school complex,
- Approved a contract through October with Puryear IT for computer network support,
- Approved a contract with First Choice Therapy for occupational therapy services for 2011/2012,
- Approved a $210,000 consulting agreement with the International Center for Leadership in Education,
- Received a report from Ross Bogan regarding renovations to existing schools and the new school construction, all of which are reported to be progressing as anticipated.
