CHS Student 1 of 12 Local Teens to Receive MERA Scholarship

Baton Rouge, LA, May 26, 2011- The Marketing Education Retail Alliance (MERA) awarded twelve $500.00 scholarships to eligible Louisiana high school seniors. The recipients are high school seniors who passed the National Retail Federation Certification and successfully completed online General Retail Courses to receive a Louisiana Retail Pro Certificate. All seniors who received the Louisiana Retail Pro Certificate by the specified deadline were eligible to enter the scholarship drawing. The scholarships can be used for any pursuit of higher education including trade schools and community colleges.
