First Annual Circle of Support Walk This Saturday

The LSU School of Social Work Student Association along with the Baton Rouge Crisis Intervention Center are sponsoring an upcoming event: The First Annual Circle of Support Walk.  It is truly an inspiring event.

On April 30, 2011, from 8:00am — 12:00pm, the Circle of Support Walk will take place on the LSU campus to fight the stigma and offer support to those affected by suicide and mental illness.  Everyone has been affected by suicide; this is an event to raise awareness of and support for this cause.  All are invited to the walk, to be hosted by Baton Rouge Crisis Intervention Center and LSU Social Work Student Association.  The walk will begin and end at the LSU Greek Amphitheater.  You can find more information on the website: www.brcic.org.

Many people from the Central area will be at the event, including graduate students and the youth group from St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Central as well as other members from the Baton Rouge community.
