By Austin Myer
Central fought the weather and the Mardi Gras crowds this past week in the city of Houma finishing with a 3-0 record. Last Thursday the Wildcats took on Parkview Baptist at Vanderbilt Catholic beating the Eagles 5-2. Senior right hander Dylan Buhler pitched a complete game. Rain on Friday and Saturday brought postponement and eventually cancellation of all games. Sunday, Central took the field against South Terrebonne winning the game 10-0 in 5 innings with a six strike out pitching performance by senior right hander, Chet Myer. Sunday afternoon the Wildcats took on Thibodaux on their home field. Central batted around scoring 8 runs in the first. Senior left hander Jacob LeSage started the game with senior Kelby Blalock relieving and senior Sam Doucet closing. Central took a commanding 11-0 lead into the fourth inning. 12-6 was the final score.
Central will play in the Parkview Baptist tournament beginning today at Parkview. The Wildcats play their first home game vs. Fountainbleau on Tuesday, March 15, at 4pm.
