Rebel-ution Crushes Cenla in Tuesday’s Basketball Game
Submitted by Coach Palubinskas
The boys varsity basketball machine continued their winning ways by beating Cenla in Alexandria by a score of 93-49, in spite of a running clock. Leading scorers were Dave Jackson with 26 points, Simpson Anderson with 15 points on five 3-point bombs from downtown Alec, Taylor Fletcher with 15, and Jake Flaggert with 12 points, while Lance Wicker and Austin Pierce added 8 a piece.
There were also about 10 dunks during the game which added some highlights in addition to the great 3 point shooting exhibition. Players were split into 2 groups, and platoon substitution was exhibited by Coach Palubinskas to give all players equal time.
The girls varsity also had a convincing win, as did the junior varsity girls. The JV boys came up short but put on a freethrow shooting exhibition making 100% of their free.throws. It was impressive to watch.
The next home game is against Chef on Friday, and Saturday the Rebels travel to Trinity in Natchez.
