Come Tailgate in the Pasture October 7

Cooking in Central, our community’s annual festival and fundraiser, is again hosting Tailgating in the Pasture. Join your neighbors on Saturday, October 7 from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. at 10305 Blackwater Road in Central. There will be food, music, and football for the whole family. Live bands will include Sarah Collins and Parish County Line, and the LSU/Florida football game will be on the big screen. There will be vendors on site selling food, crafts, and other items, and there will be entertainment for the kids as well.
The schedule for the day begins at 10 a.m. when live music, kids’ activities, and food/vendor sales begin. Sarah Collins will perform at noon, and the LSU football game begins at 2:00 on the big screen under the pavilion (assuming game begins as scheduled). BR Zoo and CFD Smoke House will have activities from 2 to 4 p.m. for the kids, and the Waddill BB Gun Trailer will be there from 3 to 8 p.m. The evening will wrap up with Parish County Line from 6 to 8 p.m. More events will be scheduled as they are finalized.
Admission to Tailgating in the Pasture is $5 per person. Tickets can be purchased online in advance at http://www.tailgatinginthepasture.com/ticket-info.html or at the gate the day of the event. In addition to admission price, RV spots are available for $100 each, and 10×10 tent spaces are available for $25.
Vendor spots are still open. If you are interested in becoming a vendor, visit www.tailgatinginthepasture.com. Vendor forms and information are due by September 22.
