CHS Sports Medicine Sponsoring Heart Screens

The Central High School Sports Medicine program in conjunction with the Jump Start Your Heart program will be sponsoring heart screens on Thursday, June 22 from 4-6 in the Athletic Training Room at Central High School. This opportunity is open to Central High School athletes and potential athletes. These heart screens normally run around $1,000 but will be done free of charge by the non-profit Jump Start Your Heart organization. Donations will be accepted to continue to support the program. The screens consist of a twelve lead EKG performed and read by Baton Rouge EMS and an Echo screen performed and read by Dr. Steven Kelley of the Baton Rouge Cardiology Center.
