Council Approves 71 Home Subdivision; 175 House Development Deferred

Central's City Council received strong public opposition to the approval of a new subdivision, but approved the development which adhered very closely to Central's Master Plan. The subdivision of 71 homes will be located on Joor Road just south of Rambling Oaks
A second development request for 175 houses across Wax Road from Central High School was deferred to the January 10th Council meeting. In addition to strong public opposition to the rezoning inconsistent with Central's Master Plan, Council Members expressed concern over the waiver requested to deviate from the density allowed in Central's zoning code.
