Take Charge Now
For most of us, staying healthy is somewhat like making your New Year’s Resolution in December… “Come News Year’s Eve, I am going to get healthy.” A few of us actually start something and even fewer actually follow through.
It’s not all that difficult to do, but not doing it seems easier. Why sweat or read labels or chop vegetables, when you can watch televison with your cocktail and your favorite comfort food out of a box? Who wants to exercise or eat right or yadaya when life is that easy?
If you want today to be the first day of the rest of your life, or a life at all, you need to take charge now. Start now with one good thing. Take a walk around the block. Start now with one bad thing. Stop adding salt to your food. And tomorrow, and every tomorrow, build on today. Your heart will thank you, your brain will thank you, your joints will thank you… your children will thank you.
