Central Chamber Report: May Luncheon

Wednesday, May 11^th the Central Chamber held its Monthly Investors’ Luncheon.  Our Guest speaker was Sherie Phillips.  Ms. Phillips is the President of the Louisiana Health Care Institute and serves as the Marketing Chair of SCORE of Baton Rouge.  Ms. Phillips gave an insightful presentation on how to use Facebook to advertise your business and events.  We came away with valuable information on how to utilize this social media tool. 

Randy Foil, from ARC of Baton Rouge, talked to our members about how they could play a key role in the success of the Pre-Employment Training (PETS) program by providing summer employment to high school students.

The Central Chamber holds its Monthly Investors’ Luncheon on the second Wednesday of each month.  Each month we strive to provide speakers that will inform, educate and enlighten our members in ways that will benefit their lives.  June’s Investors’ Luncheon will be held on Wednesday the 8^th and will feature guest Speaker Kerry Clark.  Mr. Clark is a state certified concealed weapons permit instructor.
