St. Jude Bike-a-Thon Coming Next Month
The 33rd Annual St. Jude Bike-a-Thon will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016. Participants should arrive at 8:30 a.m. and the race will begin at 9:00 a.m. This event has been held in Central annually since 1984! Bring your bike and helmet to Magnolia Square and ride for a good cause.
Proceeds from this family-friendly event will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. St. Jude exists solely to prevent and cure pediatric catastrophic diseases. St. Jude is the only National Cancer Institute dedicated solely to the treatment of children and has more than 67,000 patient visits each year. Since opening in 1962, treatments invented at St. Jude have pushed the childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to over 80 percent. Families NEVER receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food.
