Grace Church of Central, located at 13845 Hooper Road, is excited to announce the completion of a new building on their campus – the Alexander Center.  The Alexander Center is named in honor of Lee Royce and Mildred Alexander. The Alexander family was the first family to begin attending Grace when it was founded in 1958. They are credited with giving Grace its foundation as a place of hope, healing, and restoration. Just a few weeks after groundbreaking, at the age of 95, Lee Royce passed away. He is incredibly missed but the impact he made will be felt for generations to come.
The Alexander Center is a 3,750 square foot facility that will be used for numerous purposes by the members of Grace Church. It will also be used for community events, outreach opportunities, and ministerial functions.  As Grace continues to grow, the Alexander Center will be able to accommodate overflow when the sanctuary is at capacity.
Grace Church wishes to thank the City of Central, Mayor Junior Shelton, and the City Council and Municipal Services for their help and guidance throughout this project.
The act of dedication will take place on Sunday, April 10, 2016. We will begin the service at 10 a.m. in the main sanctuary. The act of dedication will be officiated by Rev. Kevin Cox, Louisiana District Superintendant for the United Pentecostal Church International. The service will also include a tribute to all veterans, including Lee Royce Alexander, a veteran of WWII.  As part of this tribute, a flag will be flown on the day of dedication that was flown over the United States Capitol Building on Veteran's Day 2015. Grace wishes to thank Congressman Garrett Graves for this very special gift.
We would love to have you and your family join us for this very special day at Grace.
