St. Alphonsus Principal Named Elementary Principal of the Year

The Diocese of Baton Rouge has chosen Dr. Cynthia Ryals 2016 Distinguished Elementary Principal. Dr. Ryals has served 27 years in Catholic education. She is the principal of St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic School in Greenwell Springs, Louisiana. She currently serves on the Diocese of Baton Rouge School Safety Committee. Dr. Ryals also provides direct assistance to school administrators for updating and reviewing their school crisis plans and conducting school campus safety site assessments. She has done presentations on topics involving school safety as well as classroom management and writing skills for several local and national workshops and conferences.
