For the third year in a row, CHS Bowling did extremely well in the Louisiana High School Invitational (formally the Coca Cola Invitational). The format is Baker style (the same as collegiate bowling) and teams bowled 7 games dropping their lowest 2 games. Over the last two years the Boys won the Invitational in 2014 and finished 3rd in 2015. The Girls were crowned champions in 2015 and came in 3rd in 2014. The Boys ran away with the trophy with two tremendous final games.
Boys bowled a 190, 254, 204, 235 and 246 (dropping a 181 and 171) for a very impressive 1129 series (225 average). Girls bowled a 177, 170, 184, 180 and 178 (dropping a 158 and 143) for an 889 series (177 average). The Girls beat St. Michael’s by just 2 pins!
Here’s the final 5 for both:

2) St Michael’s – 887 – 177 avg
3) Ellender Memorial – 777 – 155 avg
