Trenton Guay To Play in NUC High School All American Game
The National Underclassmen Combine is a professional recruiting program and assessment evaluation function for high school football players which displays and evaluates their skills and potential. Combines are held in 75 cities across the country and are patterned after NFL combines to showcase and evaluate players’ skills and abilities. The 40 yd dash, 20 yd shuttle, broad jump, vert, and bench press, as well as position specific drills for skill players and lineman are evaluated by N.U.C. coaches and results are posted on the internet for recruiters to access. The top participants in the local combines are invited to Regional Ultimate 100 camps, and out of those, the best of the best are invited to Oklahoma University for the Top Prospect camp.
Since the 8th grade, Central High's Trenton Guay has won MVP awards 4 years in a row for his grade level, including 3 QB MVPs and two overall MVPs at the Baton Rouge Combine. Trenton has participated in 2 U100 camps and 2 Top Prospect camps, and each year the N.U.C. also extends invitations to several full pad all star games after the regular football season ends. The most coveted is the N.U.C. All American Game held on December 30th in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Notable alums who have played in this game as High school Seniors include Heisman trophy winners Johnny Manziel and Marcus Mariota. Senior High School football players from all over the country nominate for this game, but only 50 players for each side are selected in this classic North vs. South battle.
Trenton has been invited to play at his new position of WR in this year’s game. He is excited to be able to play in his last high school game and represent the Central Wildcats at a national level. He would also like to personally thank his trainer, Coach Keith Ballard who has played a pivotal role in his development as a player since his 8th grade year. Trenton's family is very proud of all his hard work and success and looks forward to seeing what the future holds for him at the next level in college.
