Wildcats Host Live Oak: Football Playoff Berth on the Line
Coming off a 49-27 loss to the #2 ranked Zachary Broncos, Central takes a 5-4 record into Wildcat Stadium Friday to face the 5-4 Live Oak Eagles. Friday’s winner earns a playoff spot and an away game the next Friday. Friday’s loser retains an outside chance at making the playoffs.
Central moved up to #26 in the LHSAA power rankings, with Live Oak not far behind at #28. After the dust settles and the District Champions are known, 32 teams make the Division 5A Louisiana state high school football playoffs. Winners advance each week and the state championship is played in the Superdome on week 5.
