Ray Brown Celebrates 105th Birthday

Ray Brown celebrated his 105th birthday on Sunday at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, David and Raeletta Simmons. Joining him to celebrate were Amanda, Tom, Will, and Drew Boulton from Greenwell Springs, Aletha and Ricky Hunt from Galvez, Irene Simmons from Baton Rouge, Ricky and Vickie Addison From Denham Springs, and Diane Howald of Baton Rouge.
Ray was born in Lower Chanceford Township, York County, Pennsylvania on October 5, 1910. He worked as a carpenter and furniture maker and later served his country in the Navy during World War II on the USS Sangay in the Pacific. He moved to Central 15 years ago with his daughter and her family. He loves it here.
