Teeing Up a Beautiful Christmas

May sound like a crazy title but not when you consider all that your Central Chamber has going on over the next few months.

Teeing Up:  On October the 19^th, the Central Chamber will host its annual Golf Tournament at the beautiful Bluffs Golf Course in St. Fransville.  This event is a great opportunity for our businesses to network together and at the same time enjoy a tremendous day of golf. 

Beautiful:  The 5^th Annual Miss City of Central Beauty Pageant will take place on November 14^th at the Central High School Auditorium.  YES the date HAS CHANGED.  Due to scheduling conflicts we moved the pageant back to the same weekend as last year.  From this pageant we will crown winners in 11 categories with two of those winners being eligible to move on to completion for Miss Louisiana.

Christmas:  We kick off the Christmas festival season in Central on Saturday, November 28^th with the Elf Run 5K and the Shop Small Business Saturday Event.  Last year the Shop Small Saturday campaign ran for two weeks, saw great participation and resulted in the giving away of three shopping sprees.  As Thanksgiving approaches and you make your plans to hit the stores on Black Friday, remember to Shop Central first on that Friday but also during the Shop Small Saturday campaign from November 28 thru December 13^th.  Also mark your calendar for the Community Tree Lighting Ceremony on Thursday Evening December 3^rd and then make plans to attend the 28^th annual Christmas in Central Parade on Saturday December 5^th. 

Football, hunting, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas all let us know that 2015 will soon be in the books.  Get out to local games, attend area events and special services, throw some parties and above all shop local.  Let’s support our marvelous community this fall and holiday season making it a great wrap up to 2015!
