Flax Fabrix Celebrates New Design Center with Open House

    Flax Fabrix, your one stop shop for all things elegant yet affordable, announces the opening of The Design Center.  Owner Liz Kirkindoll welcomes two designers to her business: Becky Lawrence and Kelly Hayes.  Wanting to make decorating the home as easy as possible, Liz invited these talented ladies to join her to offer expert advice on fabric and paint selection, accessorizing, and furniture placement. 
     Becky is a 40 year interior decorating veteran.  With a BFA in Interior Design from Louisiana Tech and having owned her own shop in St. Charles Parish, Becky has the experience to guide a client into discovering that perfect style and color combination.   Kelly has a degree in Art and Merchandizing with 20 years’ experience in the business.  Her specialties include hot trend repurposing of found pieces into something new and fresh.  Kelly summed up everyone’s philosophy with this, “We are creating a design center for both designers and walk in clients; a place where both can feel at home while working on their project.”   All of the ladies offer the ability to take a client’s vision to reality, no matter what style the client embraces.  
    From Victorian to Mid Century Modern to completely Eclectic, the Design Center can help create a warm, personalized interior unique to every client’s tastes.  Now stocking paint chips from Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams, Valspar, and Farrell Calhoun along with 4 new lines of fabric, Flax Fabrix’s Design Center is prepared to handle every decorating challenge.  In addition, original artwork by local artists is being offered.  3 of these artists are multi-talented Becky, Kelly, and shop assistant Debby Kuhns!
     This Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10-5, Flax Fabrix will be holding an Open House and sale.  All in-house fabrics and trims are 25% off!  Come meet all seven of the talented ladies who work at Flax.  Bring a pillow or bedspread and get free advice, enjoy refreshments, register for a drawing, and have a fun filled time dreaming among the many bolts of beautiful fabric!
