Twirl Starz Rock 2015

    The eleven team members of Twirl Starz, the twirling competition group from The Next Step Performing Arts, have concluded a VERY successful twirling season.  The girls range in age from 8 to 24.  They are Abby Bennett, Emily Jullens, Hope Stewart, Hannah Staudt, Rachael Mills, Amber Harris, Amani Veals, Afton Graham, Kylea Ferguson, Erin Jines and Caitlyn Wynn. This newly formed group traveled to Tennessee twice, Biloxi, MS, Gulfport MS twice, Orlando, Florida as well as Jackson, Mississippi. During their travels they competed as team members and individual soloist.  They were crowned 2015 LA. State NBTA Junior and Senior Beginner Dance Twirl Champions.  During the 2015 season, they traveled to Orlando, Florida where they competed in a National competition held at the Wide World of Sports.  The teams placed in the top 15 and Rachael Mills, Hope Stewart, Abby Bennett, and Kylea Ferguson placed in the top ten of their respective divisions at this National competition.  At the state competition, Rachael Mills was awarded Intermediate Louisiana State NBTA Miss Majorette 16+, Abby Bennett received Beginner LA State NBTA Miss Majorette 7-9, Hannah Staudt received Beginner LA State Miss Majorette 13-15 and Amber Harris was awarded LA State NBTA Collegiate Miss Majorette. The Twirl Starz are gearing up for a new twirling season with new members.  If your child is interested in learning to twirl the baton or has previous experience call 654-4500 immediately as classes are filling up quickly.
