In Memoriam: Charles Bishop, Sr.

    Charles “David” Bishop, Sr., 68, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2015 at his home in Baton Rouge, LA. David worked for many years as a welder, but was also a longtime employee of Brookstown Hardware Store in Baton Rouge. David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved him. Visitation was held at Seale Funeral Home, Central, LA, on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 23 and 24. Burial was at Hillcrest Memorial Garden, Baker. 
    David is survived by his wife of 41 years, Linda Coco Bishop; daughters, Michelle Bishop Fontenot and husband, Chris, and Jenny Bishop Phenald and husband, Brad; sons, Charles David Bishop, Jr., and Joseph "Joey" Bishop and wife, Ashlee; grandchildren, Brittany Brothers, Courtney Deese, Emily Bishop, Jacob Fontenot, Hannah Lopez, Noah Fontenot, Brody Bishop, Aubree Bishop, and Claire Phenald; great-grandchildren, Nora and Jude Deese and Oaklen Brothers; sister, Jeannine Bishop Lang and husband, Raymond; his beloved dog, Millie Grace Bishop; as well as many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, H.H. Bishop, Jr.; mother and step-father, Mildred Bishop Stephens and Ollie Stephens.
