May 2015 Building Permits

From the City of Central

            During the month of May 2015 in the city of Central, a total of 11 new residential permits were issued.  The total valuation of these permits was $2,418,124. 

            Within these May permits, three were issued in Hampton Village Estates with an average valuation of $206,452; four in Twin Lakes Estates with an average valuation of $222,142; one on Bon Dickey Dr. valued at $162,686; one on Willowcreek Dr. valued at $267,184; one in Indian Mound valued at $148,840; and one on Freedom Ave off of Hubbs Rd valued at $331,488.

            Building valuation is the price based upon the square footage of the home used for permitting purposes.  The actual selling price of the home is usually higher than the valuation and depends upon amenities installed by the builder.

            On the commercial side, plan reviews were submitted for the following:

            1.  Walmart Neighborhood Market, 11825 Hooper Rd; 48,250 sq. ft.

            2.  Starkey Builders, 12717 Hooper Rd; 2,525 sq. ft general commercial building

            3.  CVS, 14360 Wax Rd; 13,302 sq. ft remodeling of existing building.
