Help Create a No-Sew Hurricane Katrina Survivors’ Quilt

By  |

August 25 marks the 10th anniversary since Hurricane Katrina ravaged homes and claimed the lives of countless Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama residents. Everyone is invited to the Greenwell Springs Road Regional Branch this month to help create a no-sew Hurricane Katrina survivors’ quilt by designing and contributing a unique, commemorative square. Patrons can drop by the Library 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Monday – Thursday and 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Friday & Saturday throughout June. Come back in late August to witness the unveiling of the “And We’re Still Standing” quilt.
