Joor & Gurney to Close Monday

   This Monday, June 1, construction will begin on the new roundabout at the intersection of Joor and Gurney, closing the intersection through some time in August.
   Originally scheduled for closure on May 26th, the June 1 date leaves open the possibility that the intersection could be re-opened by the start of the 2015/16 school year in August.
   The roundabout will be very similar to the one at Sullivan and Gurney just one long block away. Roundabouts have proven to move traffic more efficiently and reduce both crashes and fatalities at intersections.
