The Central Chamber Report: Lifetime Achievement Award – Claud Derbes of Central Drug Store!

    On Thursday, February 26 we held the 5th annual Central Chamber Awards Banquet.  The evening was eventful and memorable.  We are currently printing a series of articles in which we will highlight the award winners of the various categories.  This week we are highlighting The Lifetime Achievement Award – Claud Derbes – Central Drug Store.
    Claud Derbes has been in the pharmacy profession since 1967. He and his brother started their business in February of 1998. Claud has a passion for helping those in need, and his love for his customers is what drives him to still work at the age of 74! If you ask citizens of Central, each one would most likely tell you a story about something he has done for them that has helped them in one way or another. Claud is a compassionate, kind-hearted man that will go above and beyond for the people who have been the driving force behind the successful business he opened 17 years ago! Claud was instrumental in supporting the incorporation of the City of Central and the formation of the Central Community School System.  He has also played a vital role in the success of the Central Chamber of Commerce, which he has been a member of since it started.  He donates to all of the local schools, ball teams, clubs, etc. You will not find a more deserving man for this award!  It is an honor and a privilege to declare Claude Derbes the 2014 Chamber Lifetime Achievement Award winner!  Congratulations Claud Derbes of Central Drug Store!
