The Central Chamber Report: Nonprofit Organization of the Year – The Rotary Club of Central!

    On Thursday February 26th we held the 5th annual Central Chamber Awards Banquet.  The evening was eventful and memorable.  We are currently printing a series of articles in which we will highlight the award winners of the various categories.  This week we are highlighting The Nonprofit Organization of the Year for 2014 – the Rotary Club of Central!
    The Rotary Club of Central joined the Chamber in 2010.  Since coming to our community, the Rotary Club of Central has truly sought for ways to serve.  This organizations impact starts with various members of our community—people who work tirelessly with their club to solve some of our communities' challenges. These members come together to create positive, lasting change in our communities and around the world.  Through volunteering of their time and resources, they raise funds so they can reach out to the community for the purpose of meeting needs.  For the last several years they have held a bed race to help raise funds for the Central Community Assistance Foundation.  Their dedicated efforts have gone a long way towards helping to meet the needs of children in our community!  It is an honor and a privilege to declare the Rotary Club of Central the winner of the 2014 Chamber Nonprofit Organization of the Year Award!  Congratulations to the Rotary Club of Central and all its members!
