CHS DECA Excels at Career Development Conference
DECA students from CHS competed in a variety of business and marketing events in the annual state DECA Career Development Conference February 22-24, 2015. These students did a magnificent job and surpassed all expectations. A total of 12 students attended, ranging from 10th to 12th graders, with some enrolled in their first marketing course. The team from CHS placed 1st in six categories, 2nd in two, and 3rd in one. Hannah Brown and Amanda Boothe also received a $1000 scholarship from Johnson & Wales University.
DECA students and Ms. Dykes hope to continue to Nationals in Orlando, FL April 24th-29th to proudly represent Central High School and our DECA program..
DECA students and Ms. Dykes would like to thank all who helped make this experience possible and rewarding by showing support, providing guidance, and allowing students to have the opportunity to attend and participate.
