City Council Meeting Tonight

There will be a council meeting tonight (Tuesday) at 6 p.m. at the CCSS School Board Office on Joor Road.  The public is invited.  The agenda is below.

a) An ordinance to amend the 2014-2015 Fiscal Year Budget to appropriate additional funds for Judicial Legal Services and to account for a reduction in General Legal Services and to provide for related matters. (By Council Member Messina)

2) Discussion and action regarding the following case(s):
a) RV-1-14 Revoke the public right-of-way and remove the requirement for maintenance thereof. An ordinance to revoke the public right-of-way and remove the requirement for maintenance thereof for property located at the southern or eastern end of Morgan Road near Tract CA-1 of the Charles Albert Property in Section 48, T6S, R2E, GLD, EBR, LA and to provide for related matters. (By Council Member Messina) Commission Action (February 26, 2015): A motion to recommend approval of RV-1-14 was made by Mr. Harry Rauls, seconded by Mr. T. J. Johnson with the stipulation that the applicant dedicates a ten foot utility servitude. Vote: 6 yeas (Messrs: Anderson, Burns, Johnson, Rauls, Sharafkhani, Walker), 0 nays, and 1 absent (Mr. Matlock) and the motion carried.
b) RZ-01-15 Rezone from B-5 to R-1 11920 Joor Road. An ordinance to rezone from B-5 (Large Scale Commercial/Business Five) to R-1 (Single Family Residential One) for a lot that was previously subdivided for a single family residential land use, property located at 11920 Joor Road which is on the east side of Joor Road north of the Morgan Hill Court intersection on Lot A-2-A-1 of the former G. A. Sides Property in Section 6, T6S, R2E, GLD, EBR, LA and to provide for related matters. (By Council Member Messina)  Commission Action (February, 26, 2015): A motion to recommend approval of RZ—1-15 was made by Mr. Graydon Walker, seconded by Mr. T. J. Johnson. Vote: 6 yeas (Messrs: Anderson, Burns, Johnson, Rauls, Sharafkhani, Walker), 0 nays, and 1 absent (Mr. Matlock) and the motion carried.
